Crossbow Ministries

Graham and Steph Reed have worked with children and young people since getting married in 1984.  Graham works two days a week with Valley CIDS, a charity based in Swanwick that employs a team of children's workers to visit primary schools for assemblies, RE lessons, and clubs.  The charity is supported by its' Lighthouse charity shops which are always pleased to receive donations of household items and clothing.  He also works with three churches in Sheffield.  Steph is a community nurse and is part of the Healing Rooms team based in Woodseats.

CrossBow Ministries is the banner for Graham and Steph's freelance work which mostly takes place overseas. The Reeds have been taking teams on short term mission trips to Latvia since 1999.

Focus Service: Sheffield Church

Focus Service: Sheffield Church is a church designed exclusively for people with learning disabilities and is based around principles of cognitive (i.e. thinking and comprehension) developmental theory. This approach has also proved helpful for people with general comprehension difficulties.

The church is officially recognised as a Christian inter-denominational partnership between Meadowhead Christian Fellowship, The Church of England and the Baptist Church through a Bishop’s Mission Order (BMO).  The ministry is also supported by St. Paul’s (Church of England) Church and Centre where we meet on Sunday evenings every two weeks.  Visit Focus Service to find out more about it.

Todmorden Christian Fellowship

Todmorden Christian Fellowship is based in the community of Todmorden, which is at the head of the Calder Valley in West Yorkshire.  As a community-based church with a heart for Todmorden, they have been worshipping together for over 30 years in various venues in the Calder Valley.  They are committed to working with Churches Together in Todmorden and have been involved with a number of initiatives in the area over the years.  To find out more about them, go to their website or send an email.
